hey all, always wanted a sx and with good ones always pricey and in the last few years even not-so good ones raising in price, always kept a look out now and again but they were also really far away but whilst out driving for work I came across this one that had been parked up for a while, full of goodies full adjustable top n bottom arms n camber, full coilovers, fmic, and s#£t loads of spares etc the guy was now more into dropping a supra engine in his lexus so didn't take much to convince him to sell.. since ive brought it ive cleaned up the brakes n put new pads in, had the suspension all set up on a 4 wheel lasery thingy majiggy and had 2 new front tyres fitted because the suspension was out n killed them!

apparently the brakes are from a 98 Nissan skyline gtr 2.6 twin turbo.. I know some of you guys will be able to tell me..


and also is this to close for comfort?

i personally would add a 5mm spacer. you have arch room

Thanks guys :) yeah it probably would be ok but i think ill get a couple small spacers for fronts just to be safe, gonna enjoy it for a while then get some things tidied up at the bodyshop, front wings have been painted before n are slightly off n gone funny on the tops so will get them done n few lil scabs on rear arch etc so hopefully will be a very clean example when done

Clearance looks reasonable to me!

Looks cracking, although the front could come down/back go up a bit.

Your right jonny the guy raised front a lil as was catching everything even tho it doesnt look that low it really is.. but that pic is with the old worn very low profile tyres on front.. new front tyres now are same size as the back so fill arch a lil more, but your right still so will even it out a bit more

Very nice nick!!! How long back did you have that? Looks super clean, if you dont mind me asking what did you do to it? How much did you sink into it and what did you get for it? Pm me if you dont want to make it public lol Weird how most mini folk have similar tastes in cars etc

skyline tax mate
the skyline / s14/ 300zx share similar suspension parts ( skyline and s14 rear subframes are 99% i identical )
but you buy the one with skyline on the label and expect to pay 100-200% more lol

So does that mean i can buy discs to fit from something else for cheaper?! Oh please be true lol because 300 or so for 2 discs?!

may well be mate, im not 100% sure what the disc sizes are though try a place called Conceptua Tuning, what they dont have or cant get for jap / nissan stuff you wont need
i have there vented and grooved discs all round and can recommend highly

these are from conceptua, i would call them though i bet they know the conversion and can confirm gtr rear discs are what you need

yeah its my daily its a spec 1.5 R33 GTsT ( spec one shell with spec 2 engine and running gear)
its got fmic, Blitz turbo back exhaust,solid blitz intake pipes, stage 3 hybrid turbo, its got some sort of aftermarket jap ecu, apexi safc2, blitz rvit, tein coilovers, 3 piece split wheels , list goes on and on

Impressive for a daily! How much is something like that worth? Wow after looking at them discs and a quick search on the old bay coming up with rear discs from 129 which a few weeks back when i looked were not on there n as i said only around 300 so its not looking too bad.. phewww! So do you have similar brakes on the gts? First time ive come across a hand brake system using drum inside disc!

A company called Apex used to be good for parts, DB Power were always spot on for brakes too they did a lot of skyline conversion stuff.
