Just having a new tank made and I am going to be using 8mm send and 8mm return outlets on the tank. Will this be ok???

I know people say the rule of thumb is to use larger return, i.e. 8mm send and 10mm return, but the outlet on the pressure regulator is 8mm, and this is surely the maximum that can be sent? Even if I used an adapter from 8mm to 10mm on the return line, this will still cause the same restriction?

Who is using 8mm on both lines? What/if any are your issues?

Van had a 6mm (at best) feed and an 8mm return, no issues.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

8mm will be fine.

But if I were you I'd check what size inlet your pump is. They can be 12mm. If you have a 12mm outlet it'll make the plumbing easier and neater.

as wil says, the bosch pump and the such have about a 1/2inch inlet

i had a problem with 8mm feed and return but i think that was more down to the return being 'T' into the fuel pump inlet
ive run 8/8 and 10/10 no problems

Yes i moved to the darkside *happy*
