Not very sunny swanage

quick question, dragged a set of these off a car in the scrapy the other day, basically wondering the best way to fit them to the mini....

i have seen a few ways of doing it (eg all the metty stuff, then fitting -ve camber bottom arms etc to get it true again), but am i right in saying the best way is to fit the metty disc and caliper to the mini hub, (using era bolts, and the right hoses etc)???? do i need to use the metro drive flange? i know your supposed to take off the locating lugs etc, which is no problem. but do you actually need to use the metty flange rather then the mini one? i have noticed they are slightly different thicknesses, but i am not sure whether it is needed or not....

sorry for asking a question on the most common mod on minis, but there seems to be so much conflicting info about out there, and im buggered if i want to take a chance on something as important as brakes!!!!!

cheers peeps.

Pete

And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers!

use the metro drive flange and as you say machine the lugs off, its that simple :)

and yup you're right, the best way to fit em is to the mini hubs.

Ive used the metro hub assebly in the past, and no matter what adjustments I made the steering was always 'loose' and 'light' and basically rubbish. I didnt trust the front end grip at all.

I've got the original disv set up (8.4" i believe) that should do for a moderate turbo right? (running 12" possibly 13"s eventually)...
