I recently purchased one of these flywheels only to discover when it arrived it was a inertia start not a pre engaged one, this was my mistake... |

you can just put on a different starter motor but you need to do some rewiring. ( take an pre engaged and an inerta wire diagram and youll see what needs to be changed. also will need a separate starter relay you can do anything if you set your mind to it...

It's easy enough fitting an inertia starter and solenoid as I did for an engine swap, but as it's a brand new flywheel you're probably better off ordering the preengaged ring gear and getting it fitted. On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:
