ive just finished my turbo build and when i start it its missing

i think its really rich because when i took the plugs out they were black and the car has only ran for a couple of mins because i cant drive it off the driveway because alod of scaffoling in the way.

would it miss if its too rich??

also whats the correct way to lower the mixture at idle do you have to lower the fuel pressure?

thanks

Have a look into basic carb setting up, as long as the base fuel pressure is 3-4psi then it's just a matter of messing around with settings until it runs well on idle. If it's on choke or rich it's going to turn the plugs black anyway, especially if it's only run for a couple minutes.

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

You may have killed a plug.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

With the other posts you were making about your nodiz, are you sure it's actually working now.

Also, as John says, a plug (or more than one) may be dead especially if you were trying to run it with defective ignition.

Nowadays it seems common for plugs to be killed once they have been fouled and no amount of cleaning seems to recover them. Don't know why, pronbaly all the additives in modern petrol, but I've had it happen and a few others on here have mentioned it.

I noticed on your video you tagged me in mate that your AFR was reading very high and beyond its reading. Looked like you could be running way way too lean so be careful! get that back down to around 12-13 or around that

yeah when i ran it the other day it stopped missing and was fine.

but this is with out the choke and the fast tickover and a cold engine as it only ran for about 30 secs

There is a mixture screw at the back of the carb, as I said look into basic carb setting up info on the net.
