Been meaning to ask this for a while but not got round to it,

Due to the extra torque does anyone seem to have more problems pulling flywheels on their turbo lumps?

Nope! Sometimes you're lucky, sometimes you're not I guess... My 'oven' trick always means flywheels are a git to remove, but thye never 'fret' onto the crank taper...

I've never had problems since I changed the bolts on my puller for some not made of butter

I hear you with the oven trick and the bolts!

Also a set of puller bolts that actually use all the thread helps too...

A while back I made a hydraulic puller (After spending about 4hrs trying to pull a flywheel!) which seems to work pretty good, there's details on dr jing's website.

I like the sound of a hydraulic puller!!!

I've always been lucky - no problems removing them and never even see fretting.

Alex Its highly recomended!!

so far all the flywheels i've pulled with mine have come off in thess time than it took to bolt the damn thing on!!

it works off an ordinary grease gun and (according to my calculations) should produce over 10 ton!

Depends on the pitch of the threads on the puller, how much friction between the threads, and the torque applied!

Anyone provide the numbers and I'll take a stab at working it out *wink*
