Hi guys, just wondering what paint people use for trying to keep rust at bay for a while? I used to use Hammerite but recently it seems to be thinner than piss and has the same painting qualities

2k epoxy was my choice not that its been on there long..

biggest thing imo is to have it clean (oil grease) then lose any rust you find amongst straighting out any dumb ass jacking point where its been bent or what ever

i used mineral turps in the paint gun with the air right up and lots of volume from the gun to blast alot of the shit off and final clean before paint just be sure to get the compressed air in there to dry it out and let it sit for half before any paint hits in

done a few things like that and its worked really well for nasty greasy crud its up in where the top arm goes thats a pain to get where the bump stop is all those double skinned cavity bits

wear your cover alls and a good bloody mask too you will end up high as fuck with out it!

Suzy's frames were powdercoated, and I'll never recommend it to anyone.
Paint bends or chips and spot-rusts, whereas powdercoat just chips or cracks and then sheets off once water gets in.

Metric is for people who can't do fractions.

I've just hammerited mine, and I'll just keep topping it up as and when needed.

Yes por 15

Dont use hammerite. Its crap. You will be topping it up constantly as it peels off with ease. Also looks aweful then. Been there...
