Have been out trying to start the turbo mini for the first time. Span it over first to get oil pressure and thats fine. But its not starting with the leads connected etc. Iv adjust the sensor so it has a 1mm gap max.

Still wouldnt start, so i checked the plugs and they were bone dry with no smell of petrol. Pulled the fuel in pipe off the carb and fuel came out, i know the pumps working fine because its whirring.

Iv pulled the dashpot off and had the pump on and if i adjust the regulator it doesn't make any difference i cant see any fuel coming through. I whipped the carb off yesterday and made sure the float was moving freely and there was no crap in the bottom of their either.

Now im stuck as what to do?

So you have fuel in the float bowl or not?

Sounds like a clogged up float bowl needle, if it's an old carb it could have a bit of degraded rubber pipe stuck in it. Have you tried blowing through it?

How do i adjust it? Is that the really small screw on the RH side of the carb as you look at it?

open the carb and bent the metal thing that puches the needle in a bit down. that way it makes it close up later. and my bed is on sticking needle valve to. i had that problem ones. spend ages trying to find it out. till one day i pusched the float up relesed it and saw that the needle stayed up for a few seconds instead of falling back down.

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...
i rather blow it up winning than keep it together losing.

finish date set for project 1... march 2018

I've had this problem recently Harry. But then i discovered I have no compression in my cylinders.
