Building up my 998 engine and realizing that I don't have any breathers on it left since I'm not use the rear tappet chest breather (due to turbo) and I'm not using the timing case breather because of a belt drive setup.

You could put one on the transfer case, one on the rocker cover & if you are using mapped ignition use the dizzy hole as another. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

Is there any reasoning for determining how many are needed? I don't want to go overboard with it |

Too many is better than too few. The a series does like breathers I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll have to add a breather to the flywheel case and the rocker cover. Could I also just use a catch can instead? |

Is there clearance for the turbo and the tappet breather? I didn't think there would be. |

with a supercharger is it better to put the carter air before the supercharger? This is a blow through set up. |

Definitely before, you dont want pressurised air going into your crankcase. Putting it before will help draw out all of the blow by and oil mist http://www.turbominis.co.uk/forums/index.p...tid=469104&fr=0 |
