Because they don't do Q plates any more. It would go through an IVA and get an age related plate as it's a low volume brand new car. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

I know a bloke who did a 500 bhp sierra cosworth. That was on a w or 51 plate I think.
This is FORD country, on a quiet day you can hear Vauxhalls rusting. |

It would be fine if you were working on it 8 hours a day?! It's not as if there's any of welding to do.

Cost seems about right, what would concern me is the lack of company info.. I'm sure an established company like 'retro power' would do this. |

I'm quite intrigued actually. No reason why not. There's a lot of people out there who have no idea about minis or even mechanical knowledge so this ideally suited to someone who wants a mini without all the issues of a mini. But, I know to some people that's what makes a mini. Although that engine transplant. I'm unfamiliar with that conversion. What's it like? i got nothing but time.. |

pretty sure I wouldn't spend that kind of money on it, my wife would kill me, now if I came back with an audi or something then I would be ok. |

A quick google of the phone number throws up a load of stuff about a wedding company that seems to be in roughly the correct location.
