I know this topic has been covered many many times before and i don't want to annoy people

BUT...*oh well*

i have recently got my mini back from Avonbar and have nearly finished running it in (1500 miles phewww...) anyway i am looking to eek out some more power and on my next visit to avonbar to have my head torqued up i am looking to have a bleed valve fitted and boost her up to 8-maybe 10 PSI. I dont want her to detonate and so wish i fit an intercooler. I have looked at several types and think that i have decided that i would like to use a Serria/escort cosworth intercooler like this one

i was wondering what size pipes (would 50mm fit?) i would need to rig this up to my plenum and any tips on modfying the plenum. any help would be much appreciated.

Many thanks
Matt

It was like that when i got there!

thats the one you need dude for your roundnose a 2wd cossie, although jon has squeezed a 4x4 one into his.

the pipes are 60mm, so you can either get hold of some standard cossie cooler pipes and cut them to use as joiners becasue they also reduce down to 50mm as standard but they aren't very strong imo. or use some proper samco bends/joiners etc.

you'll need to cut and shut your plenum pipe or buy one of the ones off ebay to fit an IC, also on the sierra cooler there's a take off that'll need welding up so i'd get it done at the same time as the plenum as they're both alloy.
