Just my luck,
Got home from work and decided to have some time on the mini for the first time in a while.
Whilst under the boot, I did the last bolt up on something I'm working on, and OUCH!!! Sliced my finger WIDE open on one of the stainless bumpers. These things are so sharp it's unreal. Beware *oh well*

...and yet the Sva/Iva go mad if a piece of box section as a bumper doesn't have a sufficient radius....

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

carbon bumpers dont have sharp edges...

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...
i rather blow it up winning than keep it together losing.

finish date set for project 1... march 2018

But carbon bumpers don't have the classic look. And maybe provide carbon splinters instead *hehe!*

I'm tempted to put some rubber trim on the underside to prevent future injury. Anyone else gone to this extreme?

I was at southern mini days few years back, brought some stainless bumpers... pulled the wrapping off to check they were alright.. as i slid my finger down there was this nasty slice noise n as i look up at my mates faces they all looked a bit worried/grosed out..the edge had sliced my finger down to the bone! Was not nice!

Australia, brisbane

Yep think a lot of us have been there
I believe its the cheep mass production of these things they probaly roll a sheet of steel threw the press that stamps and presses them in less than a few seconds flat with no after care to the edjes before plateing whats so ever

Then again the minis take there toll on you at the best of times due to lack of working space

I sliced across the palm of my hand with a stainless bumper a couple months ago. They don't looks so shinny when they're covered in blood.

I ended up holding them with a welding glove and smoothing the edges with a 40 grit DA disc.
