What tranny?

If in a helical - it'll improve them if anything as the stock 1st gear is WAYYYYY too short...

it will abit gav but it will be a nice cruise to get there and back rather than listning to the engine screaming itsnuts off.

2.9 diff on 10's says to me crossing the line in 3rd... And that means one less gearchange, providing you've got sufficient torque to take advantage of it...

For me, the 3.44 diff wih the 2.54 1st is too short for a decent 1/4 launch... you might find 2.9 works ok.

see were you are coming from TD, you dont lose traction neither unless its a bit slippery.

all goes on forward motion.

it works for me any way.

ps gone for a new t3 TD as per willie conversation, more bucks and hopefully more big banannaas. lol

You can...

If you had around 50hp less that is...

But because you're running even more bananas, you need to be looking at a 2.75 diff - because that'll be doing 480rpm less in third than the 2.95 diff at 108mph...
