Just had a look at smb-composites (www.smb-composites.co.uk) site and they do removable 2 piece front ends, which include the A-panels as standard. This is all well and good, as I need to replace the A-panels anyway.

However I am wondering if having the A-panels as part of the removable front going to poise any issue come the MOT? Or more importantly will it weaken the front end by removing them?

Cheers for the help in advance *smiley*

Ive got a 1 piece from Smudger (SMB) including the A panels.

We dont have the MOT over here on the Isle of Man, but as for weakening the front end by removing them, well, tbh theyre just in the way on normal flip fronts.

And they arent structural (you can rip them off with you bare hands alot of the time), so Id hazard a guess that it makes no difference at whether they are fibreglass or metal (except fibreglass wont rust :)

If someone tells me hown, Ill post some pics of how Ive mounted mine.

On the earlier shells (MkI) the A-panels wer more structural as they held the doors on.

But the later shells with the internal door hinges should be fine.

Is Smudger makes a Clubman front with A-panels then I'll be having one off him soon (removable bonnet would be nice too).

Edit: just checked SMB website, they make what I want.
