Is there any difference in clearance between Mk1 and Mk4 shells?

Cheers

don't think so - bulkheads were the same as were frames to an extent, however I do recall the later frames (possibly injection) had the engine mounts slightly further forward to give more clearance

Woolavington, Zummerzet

The dip in the bulkhead crossmember is deeper from Mk4 onwards to give more clearance to a waxstat HS4.

Metric is for people who can't do fractions.

King Gaycharger, butt plug dealer, Sheldon Cooper and a BAC but generally a niceish fella if you dont mind a northerner

Rotherham, South Yorkshire

When they changed to HIF carbs, they moved the engine forward in the frame about 10mm.
