Hi guys.. not the turbomini but the little 998 daily hack... noticed a bit of play in front drivers wheel and as i took split pin out to adjust the nut was loose! Nipped it up to 150 (with washer trick too) and the wheel wouldnt spin freely like id like... nocked it back a little to line up the hole and it spins a bit better but not 'freely' ive left it at that for now and the mini rolls easily enough? The bearings were all new about a year ago and roughly a 1000 miles, mot was only a month n say 100 miles ago? Was fine then? So is it dangerous to have slight resistance? Or will this go in use?

I would probably say it running loose has damaged the wheel bearing, me personally I'd get it changed asap.

could be somthing else going on, nipping the nut up may have pulled the disc against the pad so it holds up a bit, which should sort itself adter a drive round the block.

also if the nut has been loose it can kill the CV-drive flange interface joint, I had problems with one that kept coming loose, in the end had to replace bearing, CV and flange to sort it.

I understand your view carlzilla, hopefully something silly like joe c says... could well be as it is more free at certain parts of the spin.. this is all a slight grip to the wheel.. i dont want people thinking im driving dangerous.. a quick spin round the block n it felt ok n was no nasty noises, will check again after a couple more miles

It's gotta be worth whipping the caliper off to check it's not pad rub too as Joe says, if it's not making any noise and nothing is loose I'd probably say see how it goes but get a spare one on the shelf just incase
