hi from a newb

my question is, how necessary is an upgraded layshaft ?

i brought an minispares one and placed it into the gearbox and it has very slight play at the pinion end in the case, so i tried a couple of OE ones and they're a nice snug fit

so do i just run the best of the OE ones or spend out on a different aftermarket layshaft ?

i'm thinking of running the middle one with a minispares clubman straight cut gearset

thanks adi

A lot of people run the OE ones over the "uprated" ones.

just pick the best one, as long as theres no ridging it'll be fine ( do the fingernail test)

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

And for the price I would fit new bearings also.

oh two ways, 50/50 chance then *hehe!*

should be ok, i left one set of synchro hubs together out of a box so i wouldn't get muddled up *Idea*
