So should I dry deck a K head Turbo or not?

Yes, its worth it just to save money on the gasket imo. |

Yes lol drydecking stops oil and coolant from passing from the block to the head via the head gasket, you still need.a head gasket The advanyages are you can use a normal mini head gasket instead of a special one, Also if you blow the gasket you dont loose coolant or oil Edited by Brett on 26th Sep, 2014. OK So I guess that by dry decking I remove the chance of water or oil cross contaminating and getting into my cylinders. I also read that it helps improve the cooling of cylinder#4 clutchside. Yeah I guess theres the added bonus of being able to use standard gaskets (with the new stud config punched in).
