Well, I need your help! I don't think anybody is close enough to me to pop round before Friday morning so ill have to use the wonderous youtube to help.
After starting the car (ignore the wideband it was warming up at the start I think when it was on 8) I can get to a point when it will sorta keep running, but I think megajolt keeps turning up the advance to keep it going, when I get to around 2500ish rpm the fueling looks okay, but then without doing anything it drops back down and does it again, the vid will explain better (ignore the fan belt squeal!)

Where do I start? *indifferent*

Do you have oil in the dash pot?

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

I've got to pop round Jez's one of the nights this week, if it's before Friday then I could swing by for a quick look

Difficult to see on my phone, but isn't it going lean when the revs drop off?

Check for air leaks in the manifold.

In the 13's at last!.. Just

Is it really going lean or is it misfiring? A misfire will read lean even if it's stinking rich because a misfire means more oxygen in the exhaust from the unburnt mix. And more oxygen results in a lean reading.

Stick the bdd in. Sounds lean if it won't run without choke

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Sounds lean Carl. Swap the needle and check for any air leaks (I know that's obvious but it's happened to me a few times) Are you taking it to Aldon for a RR session?

Masturbation is not a crime its a hobby

Swansea boyo!

We are taking it to hitech, I called Aldon last Friday and they were incredibly snobby over the phone!

And incredibly expensive, and every time I've dealt with them they seem like they couldn't give a toss tbh. Hi-tech any day of the week.

as above, sounds lean,

as a guess I'd say its well lean and your pumping the trottle to get it to pick up, which is richening it, soon as you stop pumping it goes lean and dies...?

with any neadle you should at least be able to get it to idle ok,

I'd sugest making the 1500-2500 rpm bins all 15 degrees, and make the 500 ones 20 degrees, this will stop the advance wanging about as it revs change.

also double check the timing matches what the Jolt is displaying with a timing light.

give the mixture screw a turn in and try it again, then half a turn ect. remember in is richer on HIF's

I found a rivet out that was pretty much perfect for the job, popped some gasket sealant on the end and riveted it

Haha the map was a mess up on Carls behalf, he didn't realize you had to flash it on so it was just whatever was installed onto the megajolt not the saved one we tried first time.

Right, just tried again with the correct map and the hole in the carb blocked, it's still doing the same thing, revs up, misfires and dies down, then picks up again, and keeps cycling that, it revs up and dies off without any throttle input except if i push the throttle a tad when its about to die it stops it completely cutting out when it wants to
