Hi all,
My problem is I have converted my spi to carb (turbo). The old coil feed was supplied by the ecu so I need to supply a new one.
My thinking is that if I take a feed from the fuse box, will this feed still produce 12v to the coil whist cranking as I noticed most things turn off when I turn the key to the crank position.
Is there a feed that stays live whilst cranking?
the haynes wiring diagram seem to go to the starter solenoid but im struggling to see where.
Is it a case of give it two feeds, one from the fuse box and one from the starter solenoid so one takes over from the other?
My coil is a 12v non ballast set up electronic ignition.

thanks
kyle

Take it from the back of your ignition switch. You cant get any better than that!

I know on my metro of a similar age a lot of the switched lives cut out when its cranking presumably to save voltage drop.
