I want to make a metal removable front too. May tackle it next year. Was planing on just bolting it in place via the front of the subframe and A-panel brackets, much like the fibreglass frontend it's replacing. |

Im doing the same with mine at the mo, have a look at my build thread. Albeit it is fibreglass but I guess you could do something similar with a steel front. Although mine will flip up eventually.. Pretty sure just removeable would be easier....? |

mini is hinged at the front but the hinge point is a bolt so can easy be removed. its connected to the a-panel and top of the bulchead with simple snap clos locks ( ill take a pick when phone is charged. its verry ridget. you can do anything if you set your mind to it...

My idea is to do the same as what everyone does with putting a tab on the a panels and using that to bolt them together/release. I will be doing the same but reverse it so it cannot be seen and its inside the wheel arch rather than through the a panel and seen.

Unless its hinged at back dont flip it, it just gets in the way! Mines one piece and so annoying! Im going to replace it with removeable front for big jobs but normal bonnet just for checks On 24th Oct, 2015 jonny f said:
