go to rally design, you can buy the braided hose and connections to make your own brake and fuel lines On 15th May, 2009 TurboDave said:

everyone i spoke to about it reckoned that with a fully braided system, the brakes feel spongy and vague...?? From my personal experience that is bollocks. My track car is fitted with a bias pedal box and aeroquip lines all the way from the master cylinders to the brake calipers. The brake pedal is akin to standing on a brick, e.g. it hardly moves. The harder you press, the harder it stops. It certainly is not spongy or vague.

What's the advantage of braded pipes throughout?

Yes. I'll vouch for that, the aeroquip is expensive, as are all the fittings. I think I spent £180ish on aeroquip for my track car.........but the advantage, you only buy it once, and the ends are all re-useable.

No point using proper aeroquip on carb lines. Pressure no where near high enough to warrant it, the standard lines just stay on with PUSH on connections!

Minipart.co.uk does front to rear lines as well as every other line, i just bought a clutch master to slave hose with banjo ends, VERY high quality hose, stainless fittings (inc. banjo bolts) perfect fit and only £8!

We run all our hoses in the f1s in braided hose, and clutch lines. Wouldn't use it fully on a road car, fuel lines are serious overkill when copper fuel lines do the job just as well.

dont you need a real powerful hydraulic tool to crimp the ends on? |

it depends on the type of hose and fitting, the type we use have reusable fittings and can be made to any length. Some hoses have crimped ends, but we're a bit more low budget than that!! |
