Hi I have just removed head to try and work out what my engine is built with and could do with some help on working out what piston's have been installed. The markings on them are 1d5 p34, std. A couple of pictures to help. Also would they be suitable for the turbo conversion? Thanks Anthony

73.5mm powermax i think!

ID5 P34 most likely.

This obviously makes it a 1380cc, any idea if the piston is what you reckon that it will be up to the job. Concern I have now is I'm going to have trouble with compression ratio think I need to do my calcs and work out what I got.

There is no reason why you couldn't use them in a turbo application but I wouldn't advise it personally.

I ran 73.5mm powermax's which I dished out to 17.4cc, but thes were the older 205551's or whatever the number is,

they stood up well with upto about 18psi under a 7 port head.

I think on the powermax pistons the 20xxxx number is stamped inside the skirt so you never know these may be the 20551 or whatevers :)

Think I best get stripping further then to find some more numbers and see what else this engine is hiding. Thanks for your quick response I will be back with an update on what I uncover

Wise pull it to bits, and renew all the bearings oil pump etc.
