remember the first time i went to lift a vx220 and the arse stayed on the ground and the car pivoted on the rear jacking points lifting the nose right up. shat myself. never happened with elise's . quality cars, dont see enough about IMHO.

If you get a jack at each side and jack both up in the right point on the chassis, the whole car lifts perfectly balanced and you can rock the car. I use that method on many an occasion then use axle stands. Really easy to work on.
