so with my mini finally making a move towards being back on the road im tidying up things now (besides a cylinder head) im needing some heat resistant wiring/loom cover and some heat tubing/sleeveing to cover the fuel lines and other tubes near heat/protection for rubbing on things

not really seen much around at the local places

i like loom tape and conduit stuff,

i stripped down a tonne of honda looms so had a small collection of the stuff but you can buy it off the reel from ebay
there is also a fabric type that i find gets wet and stays wet, tends to be on late bmw looms

Yes i moved to the darkside *happy*

If you to want to use proper Motorsport spec heat shrink, this is Raychem DR25 which is used on all race spec looms

The heat shrink ratio of this is around 2:1, therefore you have to have all connectors removed in order to fit it over your wires, indeed if the connector pins are too bulky you need to fit it even before the connector pins.

This gives the ultimate in lightweight and oil / fuel / heat resistance but at a price

If you have all of the connectors already fitted and cannot remove / refit them then you need a product you can 'wrap' over what you have

Cheers

wil thats awesome ill be having a good look there

bret id kinda thought about using some OE stuff from the scrappy but tbh couldn't be fucked with it nd dont have any laying around

aubrey yeah im not that into the weight saveing bit yet and ive gottten allmost all my conecters on now and tested up so its a case of covering a lome thats already built up and in place now atm its just got electrical tape covering it all and to be honest that was the plan byt now ive gotten it all in where its going to live im re thinking my mistakes haha live and learn i guess

anyways it all needs some thing more than tape that will go to shit and also look shit from get go any in places needs heat protection as well as makeing it apeling to look at to an extent at least where its visable ( not that much due to routing and being in amoungst so much stuff)
