AllRiiiighty.... I realize polls usually go arwry but...

I'm going to be putting together a bimmer sidemount manifold shortly, and also have a request for a 5 port sidmount,

while I'm doing these it makes sense to jig up, in which case i might be able to offer sidemount manifolds with limited options, the question is... what should they be???

Also for the record, if this does happen and I am able to offer these... I am deliberatly avoiding the Matty/Mirage market as that is already covered very well.

of course other thoughts or ob!esevations are welcome!

Well the gt17 and gt20 are both t2 flange so that end is easy not so sure with the gt28 but a t3 flange is only slightly larger

Imo if you doing down pipes you could have a common design and then there is only the turbo flange to choose

I think the options should be 5 port or k head, T2 or T3 flange

Ah thanks Brett thats interesting, didnt realixe the 17 and 20 were the same bolt holes.

unfortuntly ot does get very comlicated very quickly once you start looking at flanges, gt17 is t2 round hole, 2056 is likly to be square hole... outlets are totally different... etc etc...

inn that case, I may reduce it to the gt20, as matty already covers the 17... and if anyone wants to run the 17 they can just chop the pipe and fit the 17 round flange themselves??

I think most would be happy using a square flange with the GT17. There's enough meat in the turbine housing to blend it in if anyone fancies it.

That is a good point the gt20 is indeed a square hole T2 flange
The gt17 does seem to go well using a T3 to T2 adapter on the metty manifold,
I think gary hit the nail on the head though

You might want to consider an option for AFR sampling chambers that the 5-port EFI guys are using. Or at least see that fitting them is possible with whatever configuration you come up with.
