Hi mate, just a little advice on selling a car like this on ebay, (sold a car last year)

Nobody likes a reserve.

Nobody likes a reserve with a buy it now and little between the two

Improve the auction title, tell people what it is other than a Vauxhall

IMO, the starting price is already too high.



If you are prepaired to wait to get your reserve price, then stick it out. If you need it gone, bung it on at £400 no reserve and no buy it now, when it sells, what ever price it sells for, that will be the current real world market value.

I sold a 2002 Seat Arosa last year, started the auction at £400 no reserve and it sold for £1400.....

Also.. u cant sell a car with tax now so might want to take that into account on price

Please don't take this the wrong way - I'm trying to be helpful, but it reads a bit harsh (sorry!)

Blurry pictures with no zoom is disappointing to buyers. Most bidders won't see the car 1st hand so the pictures need to be clear.

If there's a reserve, is there any need for a high start price? Start it low and get more bids, more watchers and more questions. Ebay will be more likely to promote your car in the "other people looked at" section below other peoples ads. I've added it to my watch list, for what good it might do.

"New front break pads" should be "New front brake pads". Yes, it makes fuck all difference to the car, but people are searching for faults and reasons to rule out your advert and move on to the the next even if the mistake is nothing to do with the car.

"I have the right to remove as its advertised somewhere else." ...That's fine, but don't tell everyone that they're wasting their time bidding on your car! Just pull the ad without warning if you need too - Printing you're statement won't make the highest bidder any more accepting if and when you do pull the advert. Ebay is happy for you to do this except in the last 12 hours when it stops you from editing adverts.

All said and done, your advert is honestly one of the better ones, BUT, Corsas /Fiestas /etc must be the hardest cars to sell on ebay because there's thousands to choose. Be prepared to accept a lot less than you wanted it you truly want it gone. Have you got a quote from we-buy-any-car? It may shed light the true market value of the car, however disappointing.
