It wasn't bad, but as with others, so much over inflated tat, i saw a Speedwell rocker cover emblem that wasn't in the greatest condition for 40 quid, and most 7.5 calipers that had Cooper S scribbled by every single one for more money than I can buy a complete conversion kit for and still have spare change
On the upside, i went looking for an mpi or spi fusebox, and came away with a pretty complete spi loom with said fusebox for £30 (the bloke wanted 40) A few bits from dsn, and the few random odds and ends you can't normally pick up. £12 to get in was a joke though, it should be half that.

I havent been for the last couple years for the same reason
I was 50/50 this year but decided to go to my local mini spares shop and spent a bob or two there saved my self 50quid fuel 12 entry and food
Probably payed less for parts too as they had a sale on

My mate i went with had his exhibitors wrist band but cos he was 6 minutes late still had to pay AGAIN on the door.

Outside the box

The guy with the mop was at the NEC last year and sold out completely. Must have thought the Mini show would be as good.

I had a great time wandering around, spending far too much money on shiny things (and bits from my friend Mike, who lives 10 minutes away from me...) but then again I didn't have to pay to get in as Betty was on display.

It did seem less busy than normal, with less treasure at higher prices.
Maybe the Stoneleigh Show has knocked the edge off Bingley ?

Thought it was a great show, I've heard that this years show has been one of the biggest yet. Main car park and overflow where fairly full and they took in over 2,000 people in the first hour!

I've paid £15-£20 to get into vag shows with just a handful of traders and basically a field full of showcars. £12 seems the norm nowadays with inflation and that.

Took a load of photos just finding time to edit them!

Stopped over last night in the premier inn, the pub closed at 11ish so couldn't get trolleyd in there like I intended. Got stuck on the mud on the way out with some kids laughing at me. Thought there was less cars on display then previous years especially with the price to get in etc. Thought there was more cars outside then inside. Was a couple of worth while cars like jims for example but other then that was a bit disappointed over all

This year I only really went to pick up parts Off John and Si, and Sold a few things, phone signal as ever was shite and made life difficult organising the whereabouts of people! Actually managed to pick up a 2 speed mpi heater for £40 for Shauna so I tore the guys arm off at that, and funnily enough picked up another complete including rear spi loom for a mate for £25! Most of the crap wasn't worth looking at as per usual but it's always good to have a quick catch up with people I know. Jims mini was probably one of very few that interested me, apart from the mini 7s dotted about. Thanks to John and Andy helping us cart stuff to the 205 👍

Most fun was watching the wannabe 4x4s stuck in the mud along with all the rear wheel drive stuff on the quagmire opposite.

Why has some bloke got his arse on jims car? In the third picture... Lol.

Someones mini went by me on the A40 about an hour ago on the back of a pick up truck. I only saw the back end but it looked blue with a massive ABC sticker on the back I think! Bingley is only really worth going for parts I think, the auto jumble has been good the last two years I've been, I find them pretty rubbish at other shows in comparison!

They don't die, they just get faster!

Oh dear.. dont sound good.. glad i didnt make the 3 or 4 hour journey.. altho i did freeze my tits off on vw camper run to hunstanton, jims car looks ace tho!!!

We were waiting for Simon to rip the towing eye off the car he was trying to pull out of the mud, but alas, we were let down.

Judging be the way the sheep were standing in the paddock, last nights entertainment went with a bang as Stafford was invaded by tge Welsh.

Thing is there was a load of them wanted pulling out, someone could of made some good coin today.

As above not the best show, enjoyed looking at Jim's car and the mini 7's. There was a couple of nice mk1s near the back.

The field across the road was daft you would have thought they would have chucked some hay on it or at least attempted something.

Only went for bits from Maniflow and John. I didn't really look at the rest of the stalls, but looked to be selling the same crap for 50% more expensive than normal.

Guess I don't really like mini's anymore.. more about building them and racing them.

John - i didn't know that was your 205 otherwise i would have got the alternator from you there! I was in the golf that parked next to you.
