Hi

roof chop is now running, maniolds all fitted up and exhaust on, sounds lovely.

Problems I have is how to anchor the engine.

The oil pipe runs where the normal mini mount goes and even though I have tucked it down as far as it will go the moutn will nip it if I tighten it up.

The other side there is no area to bolt a ultimate steady to as the person who did conversion cut the bulkhead back to just under the wiper motor.

Can I fit a spacer over the oil pipe and then use longer bolts to fit mount.

Appreciate thoughts.

Paul

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

Standard way of doing this is to fit a new oil feed to the turbo (braided or otherwise) and fit an adjustable "dogbone" steady.

Then you need to fit an ultimate steady on the other side which requires you to make up a bracket and weld it to the cross member.

Think turbo dave has some pics.

Iain

Take care not to damage to oil feed btw!

ive used a flexible, braided oil feed pipe and an adjustable top tie bar with uprated bushes.the pipes about 50 quid the bars about 20 quid i fink i got mine from avonbar. the oil feed pipe dosent need to bolt anywhere then and makes life much easier when removing haed or turbo in the future.
ive not used an ultimate engine steady and the engine is pretty secure mines not a daily driver though and i expect ill have to replace the bushes quite often *wink*

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.
