Hi all I've just purchased a crank center cap brace bar off ebay and it came with 2 extra long bolts to account for the extra inch you need fitting the bar however I'm not sure if the bolts are up to the job or not.

Has anyone else purchased or used one of these and are the bolts suitable, if not do you know where i can purchase 2 the right length. The one's I got were hexagon allen type not the standard bolt top if that matters in any way

Cheers Tony

If they are allen bolts (cap heads) they should be 12.9s which is more than enough.

Tony,
ARP does not make studs for this application, The threads at both ends are fine and a bespoke stud is very expensive. The will, however, sell you a very high grade bolt: don't know the size but it is a standard catalog item (and you have two that you can measure) you can order from any of their dealers.

(From their wesite) It looks like they only make 12.9 cap heads.
