How good are these panels normally? With the whole front end clamped on the bonnet touches the scuttle at both ends but with a gap in the middle, there's not enough curvature on the panel? Cheers

Sounds like a mini! Might need to try some different bonnets.

The Heritage one's I've played with have been cock-on.

Some say that their quality isn't what it used ot be though...

They indeed sometimes make a bit of a weird curve. Yet still much better fot than some other replicas i seen ... ( had a mate with a A-panel once wish was 9 mm shorter then original and so on.....)

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...
i rather blow it up winning than keep it together losing.

finish date set for project 1... march 2018

I've got a heritage scuttle on mine. Make sure you are using a genuine bonnet. I tried what turned out to be a pattern one and fit was a headache

Cheers for the comments, tried two other original bonnets...one was pretty much the same and the other was better but not perfect. Tried all three bonnets on my pickup and they were a good fit so it's either the scuttle is a bad pressing or the bulkhead hasn't got a big enough curvature. Need to take some more measurements
