Well I have built a supercharged engine for my car.its completely unrun atm.but I was chatting to someone and they said the expected longevity for a supercharged engine would only last 15k miles

If it is a MED engine with the spec you list it is as good as it gets.

You don't mention which supercharger you're using, but suck-through with an Eaton will seriously reduce the life of the charger and possibly the engine.
Metric is for people who can't do fractions. |

Big difference between having to freshen up an engine with new bearings, rings and oil pump and binning the lot. I'd exect a freshen up after 20k not starting with a clean sheet of paper.

It's an injected Eaton charger injected at the Base of the charger sort of mid suck I guess.will be running a 12% reduced pulley.so I guess about 10-12 psi.

I ran my originsl sc12 on an engine built in 1969, that had 60k on the clock from 2007 until last year only used for shows and it was still going strong. But I never had any rotor coating come off. It's only used for fun, shows and some track days.
I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

No reason why it would only last 15k if used as a normal daily. by that I mean not screwing the shit out of it at every opportunity and lots of steady driving.
Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

the design shows a distinct lack of imagination, talk about starting off with a clean sheet of paper, then not bothering to fucking draw on it,lol On 20th Apr, 2012 Paul S said:

if i was going this route i bought a last model one from a big bmw garage. theyy insured me the coating (black) on the latest models (4 or 5or... cant remember) is 100 % fuel proof. you can do anything if you set your mind to it...

I have that model with the hard'nd coating on it so hopefully.that won't be an issue.wontnbe used as a daily just a nice mini to go to shows in with a good load of power for a bit of fun and a bit of twists driving now and again.

If it is a MED engine with the spec you list it is as good as it gets. The life of an engine is so dependent on how it is used that to say it will only last 15000 miles is nonsense. If you rag it from cold every time you drive it and rev the nuts off it everywhere then it won,t last even 15000 miles. Driven with some respect, and set up properly on a rolling road, even allowing for moments of complete madness there is no reason why it should not last as long as any other engine. You don,t mention how much boost you will be using, which will be another factor, of course. Over boosting and risking detonation could grenade the engine in a few minutes. my thoughts exactley!
