front wings replacement cost

I have both front wings for my clubman ready painted so need them welding on so what rough price should I be paying? haven't got any quotes as of yet thought id ask here first for a ball park figure

Hi, I would imagine you will have to factor in the cost of painting again. You will have to prep the wings again after welding as the heat will ruin the paint in places. Also the general jiggery pokery thats involved in fitting the panels will make it near on impossible to fit without somehow marking them. If they were bolt on it'd be different but they are not so painting again is highly likely. Did you pay for them to be painted already?

Been in the mini scene for donkeys and i thought id heard it all but ive never heard of wings being painted before welding them on!!

no idea why they were already painted they came with the car. anyway any idea on my original question please

I'd expect a couple of hundred quid assuming the other panels are all good excluding paint. Having said that, i've rarely done any panel work that hasn't needed other repairs
