The 2 fins in the turbo end of my exhaust manifold are badly damaged and look very brittle and crumbly, however is actually quite solid. How much of an issue is this, a previous thread indicated that it wasn't a big deal unless I've read it wrong.

no big deal at all rich, like giallofly stated most of them are cracked.

But if you are on the cautious side you may well want to change this especially if its a new turbo!*wink*
