Drive shafts are different, so you would need to swap them for pot joint shafts. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

Ive got drive shafts from an 87 mini, what im not sure of is will the later pot type inner joints fit the diff. is the spline on the rubber joint type the same as the pot joints 1972 998 TURBO SLEEPER |

Deffo need to swap the driveshafts and at very least the diff output shafts, or the whole diff for simplicity. Either way the engine will have to come out On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:

Oh hang on, you'll also need the diff side covers for pot joints too!

The diff side covers are the same for rubber couplings and pot joints, they are only different with Hardy Spicers. Metric is for people who can't do fractions. |
