The distance from the trigger wheel? I'm guessing the polarity must be fine due to it starting and running. |

Check the distance, but also it could just be duff or picking up interference. Is it used or new? |

Check you've still got a least 12 volts, it won't work with anything less. |

That's interesting to know. That could well be the problem as the battery's not been charged for a while. I shall check and report back. |

Not sure what you have in the way of trigger wheel, but make sure it has not slipped or moved. |

The laptop I use for mine is ancient with a knackered battery. Just get yourself a inverter and fit a cig lighter. |
