Hi all Iam having a strange problem with my motor It runs good on champion n9yc after fouling problems with ngk bp7es & bp6es but here's were the strange bit comes in the plugs get worse from cylinder 1-4 ie 1 looking purfect light brown deposit
2 looking darker slightly rich may be
3 looking black definitely to much fuel
4 actually wet & black still runs fine with the new plugs ngk would of had it by now but can't understand how they can get worse as they go along the line any ideas? Iam running the aldon amethyst system on it leads are good I've even swapped lead 1with4 in case a daft lead fault but no still the same help!! Thanks Scott

the cylinder in question is burning oil, (weak or stuck oil controll rings) the fouling and wetting is oil not fuel. just a thought?

EDIT tappet clerances holding the valves a little open?

It's got total seal rings the heads just had all the valve seats recut new stem seals all guides are good & the plugs get worse from cylinder 1-4 there's not just 1 cylinder with a problem just 4 is the worst

Like i say just a thought, I had a 1380 that was doing similar, used to have to clean the plugs every few days and it was weak oil controll rings. one cylinder would always foul, with the others not too far behind.

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

Yes I would agree with mr evolotion, Scott the total seal rings are IMO not any way as good as a rebore and new omegas,

Your ignition timing could compound the above if retarded too much from optimal
