if i was lucky enough to have a genuine minimoke in my garage would this be eligable for class D? or would it go into the kits and misfits section?

I asked about my metro turbo and that was kits and misfits.....even though a mini turbo engine comes from a metro,and the brakes are the same

mini clubman is still a mini,so why not mini metro

Really clean UK moke, C plate 64/65, Mg metro engine, minilights, etc, taxed and MOT'ed, 2 1/2 grand.

It was owned by the mighty mini racer John Curby, he is a friend of my dads and I would regularly see it at shows. I think it was sold to a jap - that said I came accross it on the net on a german site?

I used to drive a moke and my dad still has two. Mine was a racing green moke SE.

Great little cars, I went to Ireland and sweden amongst other places with the mini moke club - always garenteed to raise a smile!

I always fanced making a replica of the 'spoke' but with a turbo...maybe one day!

Last I heard at MME2005 - if you have a solid one, in good mechanical condition, that is 'ready for showing off' then bank on $10k

I nearly fell over when I heard that personally, and questioned it - but seems to be true.

i have a moke i bought 3 years ago for 1100 quid with a genuine S engine in
needs a little work on it but its excellent imported from malasia in 1984 great history with it from 1966 belonged to the uk special forces parachuted in malasia when there was a bash on there.

went off course & ended up in the jungle,

some years later a british guy who worked for the pacific loging company cam across it, ragged it out and ran it around malasia untill 84 his son grew up with it, when his son came to work in the uk he asked his father to ship it over for him and it came in the container upside down damaging the roll bar. this guy used to deliver steel where i worked i got pally with him and bought it.

only done 1600 miles rebuilt reboard out +20 etc
its in storage at the moment till my garage is built
i will post some picks up in the next few days for all to see when i go to turn it over.
