So I'm looking in to what seats to get for my project and wanted to see what others have done .

I am playing with the idea of a classic type seat in the passangers side and a nice snug race bucket seat for the driver . Thing is I want to keep the runners so both must be mounted underneath .

If anyone has done this before or have any suggestions / photos I would be very grateful .

Cheers

Would it not look a bit strange with 2 odd seats? I've just had a couple of bucket seats delivered that I won on eBay.. I'll be posting them on my build thread soon..

Space is fucking tight if you are a bit thick in the hips (like me). I just bought two (Australian made) Velo GPT-2 seats that *should* be just 10mm wide. This is from measurements we have made across the B-pillar in our Mk1 minis here in Australia.
Im planning to either stagger the seats and then solid mount the passenger and have the drivers on rails to slide back and forth, OR, shave 10-15mm off each seat so they can sit side-by-side and both run on rails.

Personally i dont like two different seats, to the point where i got my seats ordered from the same batch so the trimming is the same shade of yellow. Its obviously easier just getting a nice race seat for driver and leaving the passenger to be the peasant they are in a shitty seat.
IF you arent too big there are numerous options which should fit side-by-side in a mini. If a seat is side-mounted you can run rails, but you need a little fabrication work done
