Luckily my friend was OK, but you hear of plenty of people who don't make it. What good is PTO on the bottom of your car when you're dead? I am sure the fire brigade will laugh their socks off when they come to cut you out. Save the quick driving for on the track guys. Think you're the next Jenson Button? Get out there on the track and prove it there, not on public roads.

Its fair to say that no one builds/owns a fast road car to drive it slowly on the roads. If that was the case no one would bother owning them.

Theres nothing wrong with driving fast if you want, as long as you don't drive beyond your limits and most importantly, you don't endanger anyone else but yourself. I wouldn't want to endanger myself in any way. What about the friends and family you leave behind? There was a time (years back when I started driving) you could blast around the lanes and have a bit of fun, but I don't think it's safe to do it anywhere on public roads anymore. This is why I like to do trackdays. |

good idea 1071, ive been wondering about how difficult it is to organise a trackday, i presume someone would have to pay the intial cost, so having to rely on others to book could be a bit concerning!! Edited by Nic on 26th Aug, 2005. |
