A while ago I bought one of the cheap cinq rads off ebay.

It has a core thickness of 25mm which is made up with a single row of slotted shape cores. I recently noticed that there is a ~34mm core thickness Nissen radiator listed for fitment to the same vehicles, so i ordered one.

i think i'll be sending it back as the core design is a pretty naff twin round tube configuration as shown in the second image

My question is, what configuration have people bought and used? When i bought the 25mm cored rad, I was unaware that there was a thicker version on the market. Has anyone bought said thicker version with a decent core in it or is 25mm as good as it gets with these?

Where did you get the thicker one from?

I'll measure mine see what it comes out at.

An engine rad core with round tubes ??

Dont think I've ever seen one like that before, I'd definitely tread carefully with that

Just checked my one is 25mm.

There's lots of those round tube ones on eBay. I read on here to steer clear as they're not as efficient.

So it seems the thicker rads are only thicker to accommodate the two tubes then. Enough said, I'll go forward with the 25mm item. Thanks guys
