Right guys question for you all I'm in the process of stripping a engine I was given and it's a pre-verto type clutch. So I was wondering how easy it is to convert to a verto clutch set-up?

easy peasy,

swap the flywheel and wok with the slave cylinder bracket and arm... you need the short verto arm to get enough throw.

you can use the same slave, the difference in diameter isnt enough to make any real difference.

So new clutch, flywheel, wok and slave cyclinder, arm and that's it? Nothing else needs doing?

oh, ring gear might be an issue,

preverto is usually 109 teeth and verto 12somthing... so might need to change the starter... the 12od is a preengaged...

Should really have asked this before I asked about the conversion, but is there any advantage to converting over to a verto clutch assembly?

You will also need a new keyway washer for the centre of the flywheel.
