Afternoon.
Quick fuel gauge question...

My fuel gauge is reading high.
The feed from the voltage stabiliser is shared between the fuel gauge and the temp gauge (which actually reads correctly).
Then from the gauge straight to the tank, then earthed.
Is it the sender in the tank that could be at fault? It does move inside the tank, but has been in storage so could part of it stuck?

Many thanks

Matt

yeah could be a duff sender, if theres moisture in the tank they can rust and stick,

run it till its below the sender, then pull it out and take a look.

Thanks Joe!

What do I seal it back up with? Obviously not RTV. Or is it supposed to be a good enough fit in the hole?

There's a re usable rubber gasket.

Pull the spades off use a screwdriver to knock the retainer round and pull it out.
