Somewhere around Swindon

I Need to get a couple of tyres for my car

Looking online using my reg it says the tyres should be 215/5516 91w, now i am surprised at that as the car is 1650kg and you can get 400kg's of people plus luggage in no problem so getting close to the 550kg max load of each tyre.

Currently the car has 93's on the rear and 97's on the front.

Is it worth going to the 97's considering i do tow? or are 93's fine as there is alot more choice in 93's

My A6 came with 93's on and the manual says 91's so I'd go with 93's and avoid XL rated tyres as you need to run 35psi+ on these to get the rated load carrying capacity which compromised the ride.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

I've got XLs on mine. Not sure what the cost uplift was

Having said that, i've got 18s. I do remember changing the 16s on the A4 for 18s to get a better choice of tyre. I was paying less for the 18s
