Microsquirt Woes

Fellas, Im ragging my wig out with this thing.

Purchased a microsquirt brand new from Trigger Wheels.

Firstly i tried a USB to Serial but had no joy what so ever. So managed to source a PC with a Serial Port.

Put the Port to 115200 baud rate and fired up Megatune, when I connect the MS i get

"Controller code version does not match signiture in Megasquirt-ii.ini

Expected "msii Rev 2.88600
Recieved ""(from controller)


WHAT DA FOOQ

Tried Port checker and get "no response"

Can anyone help?

only other thing i can suggest is that i come round with my mini laptop with serial ports that way we will know if its your microsquirt or usb - serial

Think ive sussed it, No firmware installed what so ever. Dick heads at trigger wheels failed.

I think that they all come without any firmware installed so unless Trigger wheels specifically say otherwise, that's nothing unusual.

And you definitely should use the MS2/Extra code: http://www.msextra.com/downloads/

Ok im still having issues. I managed to upload the firmware and get the thing working, but then it started dropping connection.

So im trying to re upload it and getting error 0x0?

Any ideas
