I cannibalized a pair of the Lotus passenger seat mounts and made my own subframes in a similar design to the Lotus ones. Don't think they are that heavy to be honest. On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:

I know it is not your question but in the event of an accident the stresses in the sharp corner of the bracket will be really high. I am guessing this is why the aftermarket brackets are bent with a relatively large radius

that's a good point kitch, back to the drawing board on this for me! i have a set of steel side mounts that I'll try to butcher and see what i can make up.

That looks like the passenger standard seat frame. The drivers one is movable I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

New plan... going adapt these seat mounts and weld on the the pieces in red, should be adequate?
