I am in the process of building a turbo mini and have an old head double valve spring.
Does anybody know what these numbers mean they are by the thermostat housing :
Cam 6979 stamped in and 8L2 is in the cast.
It is a 12G940 head

I think it may be an early turbo head but not sure any help anyone please?
