Hi

There's a water drain plug on some A+ blocks at the rear (as it is in the mini) on the oil pump side.

The block I'm building doesn't have this, but I want to drill and tap it out for the turbo water feed.

Does anyone know what size it is as standard?

Thanks
josh

so if i get it drilled and tapped to that and get a 1/4"-8mm tail hose, it should all fit together? lol

Surface needs to be faced off too if you stick with 1/4" bspp. A tapered 1/4 npt may be easier. There's also a couple other npt threads used on oil system so wouldn't be too out of place. I have no idea why they didn't just pick either BSP or NPT !

Don't use a Black & Decker! Make sure you drill it straight and don't go too deep. A member on TM managed to drill right through into #4 bore

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

I also found that it is best to have a right angle adapter to get the water hose away from the exhaust manifold

Ok cheers guys. Think I might let the machine shop do it as I got to get them to do a few bits to the block anyway :)
