I found myself some nice Cobra seats but I don't have the rails for them. Assumed the stock seats would be removable from the rails but that's not the case!

Minispares sells a set but they seems quite expensive. Any other options?
Any tips on building a set of rails? Pictures would be really great. I'd still like to keep access to the rear seats if possible.

Thanks!

If you still want access to the rear seats you'll struggle to do better than the mini spares tilting subframes to be honest

Cobra do make Mini subframes, maybe worth contacting them direct.

@haz I'd take them but shipping across the ocean might be a hassle/$$

Found these guys in the US who do a set for a reasonable price. http://www.gbcarparts.com/proddetail.asp?p...eatSubframeMini
That might do the trick. I don't know if I could make them cheaper and I'd be worried about rear seat access

I would make sure the rolling part of the frame is using something more than the nylon and steel roller setup. Some are cheap for a reason and they do not hold up. I have an old set I no longer need. Send me an email.

You should be able to get some suitable runners from another car for almost nothing, but you will have to adapt them for both the seat and the Mini. If you already have a Mini seat, you could use the frame from that along with the runners to make it a little easier fitment wise. I dont think the universal or specific frame kits available are that good.

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

This what I have:

Over ten years old. They came with a pair of Cobras.
Where in California are you?
Terry
PS: They have metal to metal rollers too! They are a bit heavy and the welds are not pretty.
