a LIL fishing village on the coast - Newcastle Upon Tyne

ok just a quicky. what sort of boost can be ran in a "non tired" 1275 engine (stock turbo pistons and rings) with cosworth 2wd intercooler before detonation begins to occur, i cant remember but for some reason have 8 ish psi in me head ?

is there a diffinitive figure ? Or would it be a simple guestimate ?

you can run 8psi on a non-IC'd std engine.

in fact you could run 20... but you'd need to retard the timing so far it wouldnt make much power.

remember its a combination of boost and ign timing.....
